Good Day Biraban 5/6P! Great to hear from you!

I think it's fantastic that you already like to work with Vibe magazine and that you enjoyed accessing it online for this rap!

Your group really picked up the importance of never giving up - it is so true that we are going to meet obstacles in our lives, things WILL go wrong - but if we keep going, we will get there!

I agree with you - it is so important to love the work we do and to train hard and practise so we keep on getting better. Daniel is an inspiration isn't he?

Kylie's ideas about having a strong culture are really inspiring too! I live it that she always had faith in her pathway.

Thanks for sharing your ideas!

Good Day 7R1 at Delroy - Great to hear from you!

You all noticed that successful people focus on the positive, have fun in their lives and stay healthy - that's great!

Thanks also for your ideas about how to get through hard times - when we have things to do that keep us going we can use them whenever things get tough - like walking, talking with people, playing sport, distracting ourselves and thinking positive.

Thanks for sharing your ideas!

Good Day 7R3 at Delroy! Love your work!

Wow! You are a healthy and fit bunch - so many of you are into sport and sporting success - it's fantastic. Congratulations on winning the Astley Cup - that's great.

Rebecca - It's great that Luke chose a career that is demanding and didn't run away from a challenge, isn't it?

Maddie and Lyndon - It seems really good to stay away from alcohol and drugs...

Jacon and Euta - You appreciated Daniel because he has a go even when it's hard - I agree that is a gutsy way to live.

Hope you enjoyed State of Origin! It's great to hear from a strong and enthusiastic group like yours - thanks!

Hi from Biraban 5/6P

Deadly Vibe is always popular in our library so it was good to use the web site.
We decided that these are the most important factors for success to:
* never give up
* to keep trying no matter what
* to keep a strong cultural identity and family.

After reading about Daniel Geale we believe you should really love what you decide to do. We also think you should train really hard at what you are doing and necer give up even if it get's tough.

Kylie Farmer has taught us the importance of knowing your identity and your culture and the importance of family. Just like Daniel, she has had faith in her pathway.

Bye

Hi rappers!

After reading the information, 7R1 discovered that the people featured had the following attitudes to Health:
* doesn't really like alcohol anyway
* doesn't eat Macca's very often
* tries to keep off the junk food
* You should get the most out of life

We also found that, to improve their lifestyle and mental health, they did some of the following things:
* goes for long walks if feeling down, or writes a song, or talks to friends
* spending time with his son helps forget his problems.

We feel that these are good values to follow to have a healthy life.

We in 7r3 have just completed our school athletics carrnival and many of our class mates did very well. Our Dubbo College also won the ASTLEY CUP over Bathurst and Orange High Schools last week which is a sporting competition that has been going for over 80 years. 11 of our class play sport on the weekends and 6 play sport during the week at night.

After reading about the sports people in class the following comments were made by students:
* Rebecca chose Luke Carroll - 'Acting is very demanding'

* Lyndon chose Bo - 'Tries to stay off the the grog'

* Maddie chose Dean - 'He doesn't like drinking or smoking and wouldn't be here today if he did'

* Jacob chose Daniel - 'He tries to get the most out of life'

* Euta chose Daniel - 'He thinks its going to be hard but he goes in anyway and tries.'

The class appreciates hard work and there is a lot of very healthy and active students in this class. Many have older siblings and relatatives that inspire and encourage them to do well. Everyone is looking forward to State of Origin tonight.

Good Day Lily and Sarah at Wollumbin!

You are so right - exercise, diet and thinking positively seem to be very important in succeeding and getting through hard times too! There is a great website called gratefulness.org which lists many things we can be grateful for - because gratitude seems to be a great way to keep the blues away.

Daniel Geale is a great role model and I really admire all young people who do not drink or smoke. As you say, most jobs need us to be fit in order to succeed.

Thanks Lilly and Sarah!

Hi Identity bloggers,
We've been joined by Lilly and Sarah, who are going to give the response to this Rap Point.
We think the most convincing ways to succeed, stay fit and get through times of trouble are to
*not smoke or drink and have a healthy diet of fruit and veges.
*exercise regularly
*always be positive and think of good things that have happened to you.
and when things go bad, you need to look to your family and friends for support.

We think that the 3 things that helped Daniel Geale succeed as a boxer were that he always tries to eat well, he doesn't drink or smoke and he exercises a lot and regularly.
These are important strategies even for the other celebrities. Most jobs need us to be fit and healthy to be able to do our best and succeed.

bye from Lilly and Sarah at Wollumbin.

Je Crawford Rappers,

You sure do sound like a sporty school! Congratulations to Tori and Joshua for your cross country efforts. Great goal setting Tori. My mum has a favourite saying, " if you don't have a go, you will never know how great you might have been". I always remember that when I am scared about trying something new or challenging.

Congratulations also go to David and Tyson, and good luck with the regional final. You have all given some excellent advice for keeping fit. I am trying to keep fit too. On weekendsI ride my bicycle around Lake Illawarra near Wollongong. I usually ride about 10 kilometres, and the scenery is beautiful.

Keep up the great work Crawford.
